Drink From The Well
A New Podcast For Women
By WTI editors
The Well is a podcast for women navigating their Christian faith journey. Here, hosts Enid Tchir and LaToya Massey have candid conversations with women regarding various areas of their walks with God. They share stories of life, laughter, and loss in hopes to shed light on the Christian journey through the eyes of the women in the community. The Well is a ministry of the North River Church of Christ based in Atlanta, GA.
In one of the first episodes, Bringing our Grief to God, the guest is the podcast’s producer, 27-year-old Cynethia McClendon. Cynethia became a Christian in 2016 when she moved to the North River Church of Christ and joined their Campus Ministry.
Cynethia shares the losses and lessons she has experienced in her young life including losing her mom, her aunt, her maternal grandmother, and her job in 2020! She shares what she wrestled with -- asking God, “Why me?,” “Why is this happening?” She asked God to help her because she knew she couldn’t do it on her own. The Holy Spirit activated with a power she never felt before. She realized why God had moved her to Atlanta to be with her amazing support group in the Church.
When she was going through the doctor visits and fear of her Mom’s illness, she'd sing her favorite song, You Know My Name by Tasha Cobbs Leonard, because God was always there holding her hand. She also would hold on to her anchor scripture, Isaiah 43:2 - When you pass through the waters, I will be with you…”. She and the other ladies on the podcast share how they relied on God during those horrible times of grief, including two miscarriages. This is a podcast that is heartfelt and a worthwhile listen especially for those of us who have gone through any type of loss in our lives.
Other episodes include titles such as Seasons of Motherhood, Waiting on God in various seasons of life, Flourishing Friendships, Embracing our Identity, and many others.
