Sisters from Paynesville and Monrovia city regions, including sisters from other churches outside Monrovia (Totota, Tubmanburg Gbanrga & Zwedru) arrived at the designated facility, Community of Hope in Caresburg just outside Monrovia Singing and dancing on a bus that could be regarded as a musical caravan of Christian Sisters, singing to praises God to warm welcome, hugs and great fellowship. It was indeed an exciting moment to watch!!!
The Retreat kicked off with an evening Devotional and worship after the Welcome address by the Women Ministry Coordinator followed by group prayer. The first day ended with a movie.
The Saturday morning began with an exciting exercise session and delicious breakfast.
After a wonderful devotional, sisters went into different classes-the Married had a class on Building intimacy with their husbands, while the singles sisters had a class on knit together with God first.
Two other classes on knit together as a family (physical) and ministry were taught.
These were followed up with group prayers, fellowship, fun and sisters’ reception (with so much to eat, drink and dancing)
The Retreat ended with a worship service where the theme message ‘ Knit together’ was delivered by Olaoluwa Oni (WMC). Apart from the inspirational classes/messages, the retreat was indeed a time of great fellowship, sport activity, prayer, bonding, learning and connecting for the sisters (about 80 in attendance) of the whole Liberia Churches.
To God alone be all the glory.
