“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” Ephesians 4: 32
Although every marriage typically encounters conflict, you may be surprised to know that it’s not typical for most couples to land in a place of actual forgiveness, according to Carma Kuhn, a licensed mental health counselor.
On the “Conflict in Marriage” podcast link below, Carma Kuhn and podcast host Rodrigo Acosta, discuss an important aspect of learning to forgive, what Carma calls the “Sorrow-Forgiveness Dance.”

Carma maintains a thriving counseling practice, “Couples Carma”, focusing on three major categories of marriage counseling:
- Couples who are stuck in a rut. Their relationship has lost the intimacy and specialness it once had. They want to deepen and strengthen their relationship and connection.
- Couples who are trapped in the cycle of high conflict. They want to stop the fighting and instead learn skills and tools for communicating and resolving conflict in a mutually respectful way.
- Couples who are healing, repairing, rebuilding and recovering from an affair. Hoping to have the strength to move through the pain and betrayal of the infidelity. They want to learn to trust again, and recreate a different, stronger and better relationship.
Carma and her husband Tom have been married for over 40 years. Tom has served as an elder in several Florida churches; Carma has always discovered creative ways to support and enhance women’s ministry and children’s ministry. When Tom retired, the Kuhns took on a new adventure – they moved to Melbourne Beach, Florida, to lead the newly planted Space Coast Church of Christ! https://spacecoastchurch.com/index.html
The Kuhns conduct marriage and family workshops, continuing to share the lessons learned from following God and serving His Kingdom.
