But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation.
- Psalm 13:5 NIV
God’s love is unfailing! Seekers of truth are being found at this difficult time during the pandemic. Three women were baptized in the last week of May and the first week of June in the Hong Kong Church. Here are their stories:
AuYan
AuYan is a teenager whose mum passed away a few years ago. She suppressed her thoughts and feelings about her mother’s death and couldn’t study the bible with an open heart when she first began. However, the sisters kept loving her and she was moved and understood God’s love through them. She then asked them to study the bible with her again, and this time she took it seriously. During the Covid-19 pandemic, she had early quiet times online with the sisters and took every spiritual challenge given to her. Through the word and the love of God, she learned to become more expressive from her heart and is grateful that God has granted her a big spiritual family.
Sabrina
Sabrina is another teenager who was raised in the church. She used to go to church with her mother but hadn’t developed her own personal faith. Her primary passion was her academic studies. She thought about leaving the church once she had grown up and become an adult. However, after she had studied the bible, she came to understand her sins and was so inspired and motivated by God’s love through the Cross, that she made the decision to put Him first.
Cherry
Cherry is a campus student who used to go to church with her parents but then left the fellowship two years ago. She found that she was so lost after leaving the church; she came back and studied the bible, repented of her rebellion and reconciled her relationships with the teen workers and with her parents. Her change has brought about a great positive difference in her family.
How priceless is your unfailing love, O God! People take refuge in the shadow of your wings.
- Psalm 36:7 NIV
