A Working Woman’s Take on Psalm 23

The Lord is my boss,
     I shall not lack tools and ideas.

He provides me with time to rest,
     with leadership that brings peace of mind.
He knows how I am created, what talents I have,
     and allows me to use them.

Through this, he gives life to my soul -- for his sake!

For God is the “Boss of the Year” and wants to continue to be so.
     Every year.

Even when I work on ambiguous projects, feel great pressure,
     and have a lot on my plate,
          I do not fear that it will go wrong.
For God, my boss, is with me in this.

His advice, his timing, and his contacts save me.

My boss prepares a presentation in front of my competitors,
     where he uplifts me. And gives me a bonus.

Yes, goodness, benevolence, and forbearance shall follow me all my working days
     and I shall work together with my boss -- always.
          For why quit this job?
