With all the terrible news of war that has fixed our attention on Israel and Palestine at this moment, it is comforting to read these faithful reflections from our Middle East sisters who live in Egypt, Lebanon, and Jordan. May we all continue to grow in our knowledge of Him.
God’s Recent Works
Good evening, the most beautiful sister in Christ in the whole world. Thanks to God who has given us the ability to declare His will to one another. I would like to share with you some of God’s works with me in this month and this year.
First, God helped me to fulfill my dream: to have my own small business, which is a beauty salon. After a lot of requests to my husband—because he did not want me to neglect my home and my children—with God’s help, I was able to not neglect them and to put them as a priority in my life after God.
Secondly, my husband has completely changed in his life and walk with God after the series our church leader did for us called “Six Days to Creation,” which made me amazed about God’s work in my life. It greatly affected our relationship with each other and our marriage.
Thirdly, this month, we had our yearly conference where God gave me a rich meal from the words of His great book on the tongue of servants from our church. It really impacted me and my husband, so thank God.
Fourthly, and most importantly, my entire family lives in the United States and they used to come once a year. But because of my father’s illness, they did not come for three years now. The only solution to see them is to travel, and I knew that my visa might be rejected so I prayed to God. He blessed me with my visa being accepted and I will see my whole family soon. I will go without my children, but I’m sure they will be in God’s protection and I will return to them quickly, God willing.
I thank God Almighty for his dealings with me, because he did the impossible with me from my point of view. I would like to encourage all my sisters around the world that you can ask God for the impossible from your point of view, and be certain of the power and ability of our great God to fulfill your requests, because you are a daughter of the King of the Universe.

God’s Timing
"He has made everything beautiful in its time.” Ecclesiastes 3:11
This has been my favorite verse for the last couple of years.
In our life where everything is fast and furious, we have to keep up with everything and we get used to not waiting for what we want. Everything takes a few seconds to a few minutes. Everything is so easy to find and get done.
In these past few years, God taught me to be patient. I would often hear him say: everything is beautiful in its time. Not my timing, but God's.
When I got married, I decided to wait three years to try to get pregnant; this was my plan. After 3 years, when we started trying, I thought I would get pregnant right away, simply because I wanted to. But God's plan was different. After trying for a few months, we decided to go to the doctor, and I thought this would be fast, he will fix it and I would become pregnant. The doctor didn't find anything “to fix.” He said we should keep trying.
After a few failed trials, I remember praying to God one day on my way to work saying: "I surrender. I'm leaving it to You. You decide if I should have a baby or not." On that evening, I knew I was pregnant. From that day, I knew, I learnt that things don't go my way and don't go as fast as I would like. I learnt to leave things to God and He will give me the best plan there is.
A few years later, that same situation happened to me with a job that I have been dreaming of ever since I was a kid: my "dream job.” I waited and waited. I had applied many times with no luck, and the last time I was asked to be interviewed, I prayed to God and remembered my favorite verse before going to the interview. The next day, I received a phone call offering me the job with an even better offer than I had applied to, because of my extra years of experience.
I am who I am, for me, is God's timing and trusting His time, His plan and His presence in my life.

Moving Mountains
He is moving mountains!
God is constantly moving, whether we see it or not.
For the past few months, I have been struggling to connect with God and to be able to truly see Him working and where He wants me to be. Until He showed me how much He is moving mountains just for me.
He kept on telling me to be still, but I never understood why. I kept on wanting to have control over everything and to protect my family. I struggled for so long. I wanted my family and the people around me to come to God before it was too late. But God had different plans. He showed me that He will be taking care of them. He is already fighting for them more than I could ever fight. Eventually, I broke. I had no choice but to be still and let go of everything.
Then I decided to fast and pray for the people’s salvation for a month. I put a list of names where I can see it. I could have never imagined the miracles that I witnessed after that month. My best friend started studying the bible, and people around me started wanting God.
I literally saw God moving mountains. I understood why He wanted me to be still this whole time. Because He is in control and He has a better plan for me, always.
It’s amazing how God can change our mindset so much that we don’t even recognize our own self. I can actually see mountains move, even when it’s hard to believe it sometimes. God showed me that He is never an emotion. Even when it’s hard to feel His presence or feel His love, that will never change the fact and the truth that He is always working and that He always has a plan for us. He is all around us.
I am deeply falling in love with Him, everyday!
