In this video, Marlene Araoz, from the Iglesia de Cristo Internacional de Lima (our ICOC congregation in Lima, Peru), takes us on a journey in the footsteps of disciples in her country as they put their New Testament Christianity into practice. Watching this video feels a bit like watching a twenty-first century version of the book of Acts in the Bible. We also get to see some of the unique beauty of this part of the world as we follow along with these missionaries.
This South American church gathered a special missions contribution and used it to send their people to visit disciples, family members living in remote areas, and small churches. It is heartwarming to see these sisters of ours boldly stepping out in faith. We see them gathered around a family dinner table, Bible open, sharing the gospel with everyone in the household. We see them making long journeys to reach people they care about, strengthening relationships, showing the care and compassion of Christ. We see them creating opportunities to bring people together to read the Scriptures and worship.
May God bless these precious seeds of faith they are planting and watering to continue to grow strong and multiply!
