As women committed to following Jesus, we know that “faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see,” (Hebrews 11:1). We fight constantly to fix our eyes on what is yet unseen (2 Corinthians 4:18). Hearing from one another about the vision God has put on our hearts helps so much to strengthen and encourage our souls.
Here’s Jennifer Lambert’s answer: “I believe God’s vision for me in 2020 is to remain faithful, joyful and inspirational as God heals me of pancreatic cancer, and uses me to His glory. My fervent prayer is to be well and strong so that I will be in attendance at the women’s program in Orlando! I will take away from that time DEEP gratitude to God and GREAT joy in being with sisters from all over the globe. It will also be wonderful to meet many in the next generation who are picking up the torch for Jesus. I pray that my cancer journey and my outward focus during my journey can spur others on others no matter what challenges they face. God is God and He answers prayer and He is always working through us, with us and for us!”
Jennifer Lambert was baptized on February 20, 1980 -- she is soon celebrating 40 years as a disciple. Baptized in Boston as a college student, she met Doug Lambert in 1987 and they went as a dating couple on the mission team to Buenos Aires, Argentina. Their wedding was the first in the Buenos Aires church. They then served in Mexico for three years, returning to the states in 1993. Since returning to the USA, they have led churches in Tallahassee, FL; Nashville, TN; Baltimore, MD; and currently they lead the Cincinnati Church of Christ and oversee the Ohio Valley Region of churches. Their children are faithful disciples: Will and Kristen Lambert (son Weston) lead the Madrid Church of Christ, and their daughter and son-in-law Victoria and Adam Henry live and work in Nashville, TN and worship with the Greater Nashville Church of Christ. Jennifer enjoys sharing God’s love and truth with women, sewing and writing.
